Piper started with a conversation between a mother and her daughter about periods, and the frustration of not having products that felt right.

I created Piper because I was fed up with compromising my style once a month. I found myself wearing period underwear I felt I had to wear, rather than styles I actually wanted to wear.
Years ago, I made a promise to myself that I would never compromise my identity, and I realised I wasn't being true to that. Why should confidence, femininity and personal style disappear during our periods?
As I started talking to other women, I realised I wasn't alone. So many of us were settling for products that prioritised function but ignored how we wanted to feel.
Then my daughter Belle started having the same conversations with me. She wanted better designs, more choice and period underwear that still allowed her to feel like herself and confident. She was also conscious of the environmental impact of disposable period products and wanted another option. Hearing the same frustrations from a new generation made me realise just how much needed to change.
I wanted something different: period underwear that looked and felt like beautiful lingerie, but delivered exceptional protection, innovative technology and complete peace of mind.
I've always believed in finding solutions, not accepting limitations. So I created Piper. A brand built on the belief that period care can be both beautiful and high-performing. We're turning period underwear into lingerie, giving women the freedom to feel confident, stylish and completely themselves every day of the month.
“Mum always says you shouldn’t have to change who you are or what you do just because you’re on your period. With Piper, I don’t feel like I have to.”

Co-Founder
Martin and Katie first met over 15 years ago, when Martin reached out to offer his support and expertise to The Katie Piper Foundation. What began as an offer to help grew into a lasting friendship, with Martin becoming a trustee of the Foundation and, over time, a trusted friend and business mentor to Katie.
Martin has never followed a particularly conventional path. His career has taken him from building award-winning technology businesses on an international scale to the rather different world of water buffalo farming. Along the way, he’s received numerous awards for product innovation and been named Entrepreneur of the Year.
Over the years, Katie and Martin have built a relationship founded on trust, shared values and very different but complementary skills. When the idea for Piper came along, joining forces felt like a natural next step. Today, while Katie leads the brand and its vision, Martin looks after the business behind it, from day-to-day operations to technology and product development, including creating the Piper Period tracking app, and developing FlowGrade©, a standardised test for absorbency.
We believe your period shouldn't hold you back. Whether it's your first cycle or your 200th, you deserve products that are comfortable, beautiful, and sustainable.
Every pair of Piper underwear is designed with care, from the softest fabrics to leak-proof technology that actually works. No compromises. Just confidence.
